This is going to be the start to finish process of writing this book. I'm already nearing the halfway point, but this is a new idea that I'm starting. It's hard on a blog, or social network to keep track of my daily niblet posts. This thread will do that. Everything organized in one place.
March 3, 3017 - 1,001 words for the day. Had a lot of reading from the other book (Claiming the Enchantress) to go through. Needed information from what would come to properly write this scene today. Either way, both me and Jerry basically sucked at guessing the right amount of words I'd write today.
1,928 words for the day. Super happy. Merged scene, but still good. Funniest part about that is how when I write in new content, and don't read ahead, I still manage to write exactly into the next part of the scene that's already BEEN written. Meaning the flow matches perfectly.
March 21, 2017 1,842 words for the day. As of Sunday I quit with the merged scenes so now it's all original stuff from here. BUT I'm near the end of the book, and the word count is only 53,630K.
I won't be happy until that's near 70K or above (I add details in edits which bumps my books into the 80-90K range) so in a strange twist of fate (exciting though) I'll be going back to the beginning once I've completed this chapter and finding out where there are missing scenes to put in. I'll count up scenes in Ky's POV versus Verrick's and then find out where I can input a new scene. This ISN'T padding. (Padding = inserting words just to bump up a word count.) This IS adding scenes for information and to bring depth, adding to the overall story. If it's not important to the book, it won't be added.
